Summer (1 Apr - 15 Oct): 9AM - 6PM

Winter (16 Oct - 31 Mar): 10AM - 4PM

Closing dates: Neuschwanstein Castle is closed on December 24th, 25th and 31st and January 1st.

Neuschwanstein Castle can only be reached by walking there using the street or the hiking trail, or by taking the bus departing from Hohenschwangau included in the ticket. You can get back to the city on foot or by bus, or with the horse-drawn carriage included in the ticket, when operational.

There is a cafeteria inside the castle, just remember that it only accepts cash as payment. There is also a restaurant a bit down the road, close to the castle, otherwise there is a wide range of places to eat and drink in town.
